To provide support for designated system(s) ensuring that agreed service levels are met in terms of service delivery and incident management. Investigate, diagnose and resolve incidents to ensure the normal service is restored as quickly as possible (and within SLA determined by priority), therefore minimising the impact on the business. Work proactively to ensure potential issues are dealt with before they impact the service This will involve liaising, where necessary, with software vendors, third party support organisations and internal support teams to ensure the timely resolution of identified failures, errors and other reported problems.
2 years minimum experience in a support function using Oracle 8i, 1 years experience of UNIX * Oracle 8i in a support environment 2 years experience of shell scripting Solaries * KORN shell scripting (basic) 1 year Data Warehouse experience MSB Technology (a division of MSB International PLC) is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
